My learning while building Caremate: The Teenage Trap

While building Caremate I came across something interesting.

Studies suggest that teenage relationships correlate with higher chances of mental health issues.

It makes sense.

At an age where identity is fragile, people start tying their happiness to someone else.

And that dependency becomes dangerous.

From personal observation, I’ve noticed something: people crave relationships most when they don’t have something meaningful to pursue.

But once someone finds something they truly love building, something shifts. Freedom becomes addictive.

You stop wanting to report your emotional state to someone every day.

You want to build.

You want to create.

You want to become something.

Suddenly relationships start looking less like excitement and more like responsibility and distraction.
